  • Tuition Fees: Fees for UK courses vary depending on your study level and where in the UK you are studying. As a thumb rule , humanities and social sciences degrees tend to cost the least, while laboratory and clinical degree programmes tend to cost the most.
    • International undergraduate tuition fees vary from £11,400 - £38,000. The average cost is estimated to be around £22,200 per year.
    •  International postgraduate tuition fees vary from £9,000 - £30,000. The average cost is estimated to be around £17,109 per year.
  • Cost of Stay: The cost greatly depends on the type of accommodation and city of stay. Own apartments are costlier than shared or university accommodation. A stay in London would cost between £12000 - £ 14000 per anum. It will be 20 - 25% cheaper in Rest of England.
  • Preparation costs
    • English Language: IELTS is the most accepted test and the average score that is expected is 6.5. The test cost is INR 16500.00. It is advisable to take guidance before the test is attempted. This will cost an additional INT 5000 - INR 15000. Other accepted tests are TOEFL and PTE.
    • VISA: The Application cost is £363 and an Immigration health surcharge of £470 per year of stay.
    • Travel: This is as per the airline fare at the time of travel and is usually in the range of INR 80000.00
    • Insurance: This depends on your insurance company and is to be checked with them directly.

Admission Requirement

  • Academic Qualifications: For bachelor's programs, you typically need a recognized secondary school leaving certificate. For master's programs, you require a relevant bachelor's degree or any other equivalent degree.
  • Language Proficiency:  You can only take a SELT ( secure English language test) with one of the following providers:
    • IELTS SELT Consortium 
    • LanguageCert
    • Pearson
    • PSI Services (UK) Ltd – Skills for English (UKVI)
  • Letters of Recommendation: Some programs may require letters of recommendation from professors or professionals who can attest to your academic abilities.
  • Statement of Purpose : A well-written statement of purpose is essential for admission and visa applications. The statement of purpose for the visa application is separate from the one submitted to the university and may have different requirements.
  • Additional Documents: This may include a CV/resume, transcripts, academic certificates, and a portfolio (if applicable).

Student Visa

The earliest you can apply for a visa is 6 months before you start your course. Anyone who is 16 and above can apply for a Student Visa. If below 16 then a Child VISA is to be applied for. As a holder of student VISA and if your are above the age of 18 years, you can:

  • work as a student union sabbatical officer

You may be able to work - how much depends on what you’re studying and whether you’re working in or out of term time.

What all are needed to apply for a student VISA:

  • Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies: A number provided by the education provider on confirmation of the enrolment to a particular course,

  • A valid passport
  • ATAS certificate if the course so demands.

Graduate VISA: Allows you to stay for a period of 2 years after successfully completing a course. If you are currently residing in the UK and possess a Student visa or Tier 4 (General) student visa, it indicates that you have completed a qualifying UK bachelor's, postgraduate, or eligible program for the required duration. Your educational institution, whether it's a university or college, has reported your successful course completion to the Home Office.
