Description
The Diploma in Tourist and Hospitality Management qualification's goal is to prepare students for careers as managers in the tourism and hospitality business, with a focus on lifelong learning. It helps students to apply current knowledge and ideas to the management of complex problems in a critical manner. After completing this certificate, learners will have the specialised abilities and technical terminology they need to advance their management talents and pursue further education or work.
This course is made up of 6 Level 4 modules (60 ECTS) and 6 level 5 modules (60 ECTS). Each level also includes 6 written assignments. If a student decides to only study at Level 4 they will receive 60 ECTS (120 UK credits) and can apply for an exemption from the first year of a university Degree course. Each module consists of approximately 80 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours of optional learning material. These materials comprise recommended exercises, recommended readings and internet resources.

What you'll learn
The Level 4 modules and assignments of this course are equivalent to the first year of a University Degree and the Level 5 modules and assignments are equivalent to the second year of a University Degree.
Students who complete the Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management and the last year of an authorised Undergraduate Degree programme will have the qualifications to pursue a career in tourism, hospitality, and hotel management.
